1K to OK

I started 1K to OK because I wanted to get better at making art without waiting to feel like an artist first. The rule is simple: make 1,000 pieces and let the work teach me what comes next.

Every piece gets a number. Some are tiny; some are getting bigger. Some become series, some are experiments, some sell, some are gifted, and some simply teach me something.

This is the record of the project as it actually happened — not a highlight reel. 189 pieces down, 811 to go.

About the artist

Adriana Fader

I’m Adriana, the artist behind 1K to OK. I started the project in March 2026 as a way to make creativity a practice instead of something I had to feel ready for first. I’m documenting all 1,000 pieces as I go — the awkward experiments, the obsessions, the breakthroughs, and everything in between.

The evidence.

Every piece gets a number and stays in the record — the experiments, the weird detours, the tiny breakthroughs, and the ones I'd proudly hang in my own house. This is 1K to OK, one piece at a time.
